STANTHORPE REMEMBERS
The Stanthorpe Remembers project is dedicated to telling the stories of the men of Stanthorpe, Australia, who lost their lives during World War I. Stanthorpe, located in Southern Queensland, is the central town of a region known as the Granite Belt.

STANTHORPE AND DISTRICT HISTORICAL MUSEUM
The Stanthorpe Museum, located on High Street in Stanthorpe, is a collection of 10 buildings open to the public, along with nearly 20,000 items in its catalogue. The Museum comprises of several historical buildings full of unique collectables from the mining, grazing, transport, fruit, medical industries as well as school education and general lifestyles through the years.
STANTHORPE RSL SERVICES CLUB
The Stanthorpe RSL Services Club is located in Marsh St in Stanthorpe and provides great meals, entertainment and social space to Stanthorpe residents.
RSL Clubs were created in communities across Australia to provide a venue for current and ex-serve personnel and their families to enjoy a safe and comfortable place to gather, to enjoy each other’s company, and to share a meal and a drink or two. As well, these Clubs serve as a place of remembrance for the contribution and sacrifice of all Australia Defence personnel.

The sub-branch provides many services to ex and serving members of the ADF including:
- providing a meeting area and facilities for ex-service groups.
- managing a small library for sub branch members.
- providing emergency travel assistance for ex-service personal.
- providing limited assistance with Pensions & Welfare enquires and claims.

FOOTPRINTS OF ITALIAN PRISONERS OF WAR IN QUEENSLAND
Documented research undertaken by Joanne Tapiolas about the Italian POWs in Qld during and after WW2.

Over 18000 Italian Prisoners of War came to Australia from 1941 – 1945. Captured in theatres of war in North Africa, East Africa and Europe, they were transported to Australia directly from Libya or via staging camps in Egypt, Palestine and India. This research pulls together the history of the Italian Prisoners of War who came to Queensland and their footprints.
